Boatman Not Laughing

There was a three-way all in over at Table 7, and we walked up to see that Barny Boatman had very much the good end of it. He had about twice as many chips as his opponents and the superior 
, and the two short stacks were sharing outs. Moritz Kranich showed 
and Alexander Dovzhenko tabled 
, and they were both drawing slim to survive.
The dealer burned a card, and flip-flip-flip face-down. When he turned the flop right-side up, the 
froze in the door like the Grim Reaper. "Aw, come on. You're havin' a laugh," Boatman lamented. The full flop rolled out 
, and the turn 
and river 
kept his kings cracked.
Across the table, John Duthie was sharing in his countryman's pain. "The ace was the bloody door card, as well," he said. "Not even a sweat." As Boatman counted out his debt, Duthie added, "It's a bad beat against one bloody ace-queen, let alone two of them."
We're pretty sure Boatman agrees, and now all three men are right around the same chip count with less than half the average.
