Jason Mercier got his chips in the middle from the small blind before the flop holding pocket sevens. Sean Winter was the one he was up against and he had ace-king. A king on the turn ended it for Mercier and he got up and made his exit.

As we arrived, Joe McKeehen had already bet 32,000 on a flop of 
acting out of the small blind. Ben Tollerene, sitting in the hijack, called in position.
McKeehen bet another 65,000 on the 
turn and Tollerene called once more.
The 
completed the board and McKeehen shoved all in. Tollerene did one double take on his cards to make sure he had what he thought he had, and called for 146,400.
McKeehen showed but that hand would end up face down in the muck soon enough as Tollerene tabled 
for the straight.

Daniel Negreanu (pictured during yesterday's Day 1a) made it 15,000 from the button and his opponent Connor Drinan moved all-in for around 97,000 from the big blind. Negreanu made a very quick call and was a little behind.
