There was a moment this morning when things looked pretty bad for Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, perhaps the only player in the game who gets his name and nickname mentioned whenever he’s referenced, never one or the other.
He was the short stack, or so it seemed, with a little more than 11,000 chips — hardly enough to pay the antes and blinds let alone have any chance of mounting a comeback.
He’d yet to put his sunglasses on but he did take his leather jacket off – always a good sign. It shows faith and projects power to the opposition. Nothing says weakness like an overcoat, luggage and a taxi waiting outside with the engine running. But all was not as it seemed for the Frenchman, as the PokerStars Blog reports:

PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo just raised to 11,000 under the gun and the action folded to Alexander Trevallion who made it 34,000 from the big blind.
"All in," Moreira de Melo quickly announced and Trevallion made the call for 179,000 total.

Anatoly Filatov seems intent on getting into a levelling war with Chris Moorman. Unfortunately for Filatov it is Moorman who has position and the bigger stack but that isn’t enough to deter the fearless Russian.
Filatov opened for 10,000 and when the player in the small blind called Chris Moorman made a mini-squeeze of 30,000. Filatov announced all in for aroind 200,000 and didn’t get a call. One back for Russia.

We've just lost Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov from the secondary featured table, but the details of the hand remain unknown to us. We will be on the hunt for more information, but at least it's for certain that Katchalov won't make Day 4 in this event.
