Two Double-Ups on the Same Table
On table 4, the action folded around to Quan Zhou in the small blind. Zhou started today as the shortest stack with only 65,000 and jammed all those chips in. Conor Beresford was in the big blind and made the call.
Quan Zhou: 5?5?
Conor Beresford: K?Q?
Beresford whiffed the 9?10?10?3?2? board and Zhou captured a double-up.
A few hands later, it was Beresford himself who raised to 100,000 from the button. Milos Petakovic was in the big blind and flat-called. The flop came 4?K?2? and Petakovic led for 30,000. Beresford then went all-in for 75,000 or so and, after some deliberation, Petakovic decided he could not fold, although he was left with a very short stack.
Conor Beresford: K?J?
Milos Petakovic: A?9?
No ace came looking on the 10?5? runout and Beresford raked in a double-up of his own.
